Terms of use

These terms govern your use of DharmaSaathi — the website, the platform at dharmasaathi.com, and every service offered through them. By creating an account you agree to them. They are written to be read; if anything is unclear, write to namaste@dharmasaathi.com.

Strictly matrimonial

DharmaSaathi is strictly for matrimonial purposes — helping individuals and their families find a marriage partner. It is not a dating platform. Use for dating, casual connection, commercial solicitation, or any non-matrimonial purpose is prohibited and is grounds for removal without refund.

Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to marry under the laws applicable to you (note that Indian law sets 21 as the minimum marriage age for grooms)
• You must create and operate your own profile; family members participate through the Parivar dashboard at your invitation, with your consent controlling every action
• One profile per person; profiles on someone else's behalf are not permitted

Your profile and verification

Information you submit must be true. Every profile is reviewed by a human before going live, in line with MeitY advisory guidelines for matrimonial websites. We may decline or return a profile for completion, and misrepresentation — of identity, age, marital status, or anything material — is grounds for permanent removal. Optional verifications (Aadhaar, photo, community reference, family) raise your profile's trust level; submitting forged evidence ends your membership.

Paid services and pricing

Browsing, receiving introductions, and replying to a Parichay are free. Paid services include: Member and Concierge subscriptions (which allow you to begin Parichays and unlock related features), Spotlight placement, clean biodata downloads, and Satsang Circle seats. Prices are shown at the point of purchase and processed by Razorpay; we do not see or store your card or UPI details. Subscriptions run for their stated term and do not auto-renew.

Refunds and cancellation

• Subscriptions: full refund within 7 days of purchase if you have not yet begun a Parichay. Once a Parichay has been begun, or after 7 days, the term is non-refundable.
• Satsang Circle seats: refundable until 48 hours before the circle begins. Within 48 hours, seats are transferable to a future circle but not refundable. If we cancel a circle, you receive a full refund.
• One-time purchases (Spotlight, clean biodata): non-refundable once the spotlight period begins or the download is delivered.
• Refund requests go to namaste@dharmasaathi.com and are processed to the original payment method within 7 working days.

Conduct

• Treat people the way this platform treats them: with dignity. Harassment, abuse, or pressure of any kind — on or off the platform — ends your membership.
• A declined introduction is an answer. Attempting to contact someone outside the platform after they have declined is prohibited.
• No solicitation, no dowry discussion in either direction, no commercial use of other members' information.
• Content you submit (photos, voice notes, messages, your story) must be yours. You grant us the licence needed to operate the service — to show your profile to potential matches and the family members you invite — and nothing more. We never sell your data.

Kundli and astrology

Kundli matching is computed from the birth details both sides provide, through a third-party astrology service. It is offered as a cultural and informational service, not as advice or prediction. As we say in the product: the stars get a vote, not a veto. Decisions about marriage are yours and your family's alone.

Saarthi (AI advisor)

Saarthi is an AI feature that offers feedback on your own profile and conversations. Its words are generated by a machine and can be wrong; it is not a counsellor, astrologer, lawyer, or guarantee of outcomes. It sees only your own data, never another member's private information.

What we don't promise

We facilitate introductions with care; we do not and cannot guarantee a match or a marriage. We verify profiles in line with industry guidelines, but you remain responsible for your own diligence — meet in public, involve your family, and use the Compatibility Report and verification signals we provide. The platform is provided as-is, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding it.

Termination

You may pause or delete your profile at any time from your account. We may suspend or remove profiles that break these terms, with notice and reasons except where the safety of other members requires otherwise. Removal for cause does not create a refund obligation.

Grievances

Our grievance officer and response timelines are published on the Grievance page, in line with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, 2021.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, with Indian courts holding jurisdiction. We may update these terms; material changes will be notified in the product, and continued use after notice is acceptance.
